Industry veteran, Yvette Thornley has more than three decades of marketing and communications experience working in the public and private sectors. Her talents are broad including brand strategy, social marketing, communications planning and implementation, copy writing, digital marketing and project management. Tasked with managing large multi-channel marketing campaigns, she delivers measurable results - whether it is increasing profits in the private sector or changing behaviours of the public with a major healthcare program. After years of working for other organizations, she felt it was time to make the leap and run her own marketing communications agency. As a friend and long-time creative partner, she turned to me for help.

Yvette’s brief was clear and precise. Create her brand based on a clear value proposition. Her clients will benefit from decades of experience and the ability to deliver on strategy, on time and on budget. While multiple concepts were presented, one was right on the mark. Hitting a bull’s eye was a simple idea that spoke to her strategic skills as well as been results driven. By replacing the O in her name, the idea becomes fresh and different. The wordmark was set in capitals which conveys authority because of her decades of experience and a magenta colour scheme was chosen as an unexpected twist on the obvious target red.

With a client presentation coming up, Yvette needed the identity applied right away to business cards, letterhead template and a PowerPoint presentation deck. Working quickly, I delivered what she needed so she could walk into the meeting looking professional and confident.
